Why create a movie review? Firstly, it’s become a common practice to write reviews. You find them in newspapers, magazines, on television or on the internet (eg. YOUTUBE!!), on a variety of topics. Secondly, I am sure that you all have had plenty of time to watch movies during social distancing. Therefore, I would like you to practice writing/filming a short movie review (one minute). You can find examples on youtube, but please do not simply copy them. Be creative and be authentic, give us your take on a movie review!

Now your turn!
Before you jump ahead though, think about: what makes these review examples good/bad? Why? What is a good review anyway? Ever thought about the word ‘constructive’?
Also consider…
- How to present the review (face-to-face?/ Voice over?)
- What information to give to the audience (avoid spoilers of the movie?)
- Length: be aware that one minute equals on average 120-150 spoken words
